Events

On each of the last 32 years, we have had a festival celebrating our existance on the beautiful Washington coast. This is the premiere event for our communities, and occurs annually on the Labor Day Weekend. A tribute to Kelp is perfect as it depicts life on a shore line. Kelp is not a pre-requisite to join in, nor have I seen much of it at the previous festivals. Kelp is simply... Kelp!!

Shake Rats are a unique and distinguished group here in the North Beach. Many have been here for many proud generations engaged in the timber industry. The skills embraced by this lot are only for the hearty. A Saturday demonstration is planned, with a full competition to occur Sunday from mid-morning, pausing for the passing Moclips-to-Pacific Beach parade, then climaxing mid-afternoon. We enjoy some talented folks year after year.
